My daughter set me up to meet with Gentry whom she had bought her Subaru through last spring, telling me she had a good experience dealing with him. I was not disappointed. It is always uncomfortable answering those calls. I later called back with my decision, more calls and ?s, & after a few days I bought my brand new Venitian Red Forester and loving it every day. I was just browsing online and found a car that I really liked, emailed Gentry and he sent me the information and invited me to come take a test drive. I showed up the same day to test drive and he got right to work finding the car and then sent me on my way to drive it. When I finished the drive he didn't bombard me with a lot of questions he just wanted to know if I liked the car. Which I did! After that he stayed in contact with me for a week to make sure financing and everything was in place for me to make the purchase. There came a time that I didn't think I was going to be able to make the purchase, but he wasn't going to let this car slip out from underneath me. He did everything he could and talked with Nick to make sure I could get a good deal on financing and drive away with my first big auto purchase. They both did an amazing at their job, actually I wouldn't even call it their job, they made it more of a friendship than a job. I can say this because I have been to many dealers and haven't been treated as well as I was at Nate Wade Subaru. Even my mom was excited to be helping me make this purchase and she doesn't really like dealerships or car sales men. Overall my experience was AWESOME!!!

This was my first experience with Nate Wade and the Subaru brand. I was a little worried because I did not know anyone personally that worked with Nate Wade. I contacted Gentry via email initially. He was very friendly and willing to answer any questions I had. No pressure at all. He was not "fishing" for a sale. He wanted to make sure I was doing the right thing for myself. I felt I could be completely open with him without feeling he was trying to take advantage of me.
Nick Poulos was the finance manager I worked with. Nick is an amazing guy. He knew what I was looking for and he was able to exceed my expectations. I'm not sure what kind of magic he uses, but I've never worked with a finance manager that was willing to work so hard for me.
Overall, Nate Wade and their employees have been very helpful, they treat you so much different than a stereotypical dealership. I'm blown away at the experience and treatment I've received.

While browsing the internet casually looking for new STi pricing, I NEVER imagined i'd have this positive of an experience with a car dealership - much less driving home the car i'd been dreaming of for over a decade. Within a single email from Gentry at Nate Wade, I had better pricing than a competing dealership (by thousands of dollars) and an invitation to come down and see the car. I took Gentry up on it and before I knew it, I was sitting in a beautiful new car ready to take it home. We had a conversation about the car and with ZERO pressure, he told me that if its the right time for me, then great, but if not, not a big deal and to go home and think it over. With that advice and wanting to make sure I did my due diligence, I almost immediately went to Nate Wade's competition and let them know of my experience with the service and the price quote and was told "Then go buy it at Nate Wade". That was the BEST advice that other dealership had ever given me as a week later I was driving home a brand new, 2013 STi and my wife was driving home a brand new 2013 XV Crosstrek (yes, we both bought new cars from them, that's how good the experience was).
The entire sales process from looking at the car to signing on the dotted line was excellent and they did everything they could to be completely transparent, honest and easy to do business with. I'll even go so far as to say I trust everyone from sales to finance at Nate Wade - they are that good.
In the weeks preceding and following the purchase, I've had lots of contact with Nate Wade regarding accessories, questions and various other items and honestly, I feel like I am a close friend of the dealership and not just another customer that walks through the door. Its an incredibly welcoming dealership and environment and another big reason why i'll continue to go back and refer everyone I know to go buy a car from them.
Pricing is definitely NOT the primary driver behind me purchasing a car and honestly, i'll easily pay more to purchase from somewhere that has excellent service. With that, I am told quite often that i'm a somewhat hard person to please when it comes to customer service and in all honesty, I do take customer service VERY seriously. I rarely fill out reviews for decent service and only occasionally do write ups for bad service, but great service I will ALWAYS take the time to make sure others know how well I was treated and in this case, you CANNOT go wrong with purchasing a car from Nate Wade Subaru and Gentry Mikesell.

Getting a new car is not so easy, especially if you are a first time new car buyer, as was the case with my wife and myself. After considering different cars, we decided to get a Subaru. We visited several dealerships and looked into different models. We got best prices from Nate Wade, and decided to go for a test drive. I had a very positive experience with Gentry and Carla at Nate Wade Subaru. Before this, I only worked with the service and parts departments at Nate Wade (the best at any Subaru dealership in UT). Carla and Gentry made the experience effortless and were very helpful, communicative and responsive throughout. I have two young children and wasn't able to spend much time at the dealership. After setting an appointment for a couple of test drives, I decided on a model. Carla and Gentry really worked with me via phone and email to answer my questions and help me complete the purchase without spending a ton of time chasing my kids around the dealership. They never tried to sell me on things in which I wasn't interested, and Nate Wade's prices surpassed every other Subaru dealer in UT, even with a VIP discount through my employer at another major SLC Subaru dealership. They completed all of the paperwork for me, and I arrived to complete the purchase with Nick, the business manager. Nick was incredibly personable and helpful, and he was very candid about the services and benefits offered at Nate Wade. My family and I spent no longer than 20 minutes completing the purchase process, and then Gentry handed over the keys and gave me a tutorial on the vehicle's features (which Carla had also explained prior to the test drive). He helped me set up my phone through the bluetooth system and spent some time ensuring I was comfortable with everything.
Carla and Gentry always returned my calls and emails promptly when I left messages, and I received great personal attention. I never felt rushed or pressured. I have and will continue to highly recommend Nate Wade to all of my friends.

I just bought a car from Nate Wade Subaru and it was a comfortable, stress free, and fun experience. How often can you say that about a car dealership? I worked with Gentry Mikesell and he’s right when he says, “I’m not your typical salesman.” He looked out for my needs and made sure I got the car I wanted not a car they were trying to sell. Gentry knew his stuff as well, answered all my questions and I got a great deal :) I first started looking for a car in February and didn’t buy until November. Every time I had a question Gentry returned my correspondence quickly and was polite and did not pressure me to hurry up and buy the car already. I found Gentry at Nate Wade Subaru because I was using the Costco Auto Program. And I don't think I would have pursued buying a car if he wasn't so great to work with.
I can’t say enough nice things about this dealership. Everyone was very friendly. The business manager, Steve Yates, was very thorough in explaining all the finance options and made me feel at ease with this experience that I usually don’t enjoy all that much.

I was a bit hesitant to go to a dealer because of some bad experiences that friends of mine had told me about. Luckily for me I went to Nate Wade and got 5 star service. I had my eye on a specific vehicle and was able to talk price and negotiate through email. I had to ride the UTA trax train to the dealership and was picked up by Gentry Mikesell from the trax station in the vehicle I was going to test drive. I was very impressed. Once I decided on the vehicle I wanted to buy, Brock gave me a great deal with an out-the-door price. They didn't try to sell me on a monthly payment amount like some other dealerships. I was given the exact price I would pay for the vehicle including tax, title, licensing and fees. The loan and financing processes were quick and hassle free. Gentry and Nick were AWESOME from the time I walked in the door. Purchasing was easy since I used the COSTCO program but aside from that easy process both gentlemen were extremely helpful and answered all of my questions and concerns. One of my concerns was if the 4 cylinder vehicle would be sufficient for getting up the large hills to Park City. They encouraged me to test drive the car in the canyon, which convinced me that the car was great. I also had a trade-in. That process was very smooth and I was offered a fair price immediately. The Business Manager that handled the financing was also great and got me through the paperwork in a timely fashion. Finally, Gentry called the next day to answer any questions I had and also secured me a loaner vehicle for the following week so that I could have the Zurich Shield applied to my new car (which takes an entire day).
Both Gentry and Nick assured me that I could call them at any time with questions or concerns and that they would be happy to help. I absolutely believe them! They are both very sincere and offer wonderful customer service. I highly recommend them both.

Not pushy or rude...they were so helpful and friendly. They do not have to meet any quotas, so they just try to do what is best for you. They left everything up to me, and due to some scratches on the car, they negotiated the price very well. I was so happy with the way I was treated compared to some of the ways I have been treated. My wife and I were looking to purchase our first new car and wanted it to be a Subaru Outback. However, it seemed like Subaru did not want that to happen. We were unable to find the car we wanted because of a supply issue for Outbacks with PZEV. We looked in a 6 state radius for 4 weeks straight and nearly gave up and went to Toyota to buy a car instead...this is the reason for the overall experience rating of "Good" isntead of "Great".
Gentry Mikesell is the reason we ended up purchasing from Subaru. He was the most professional, friendly and caring salesperson I have ever worked with. His diligence and persistence in finding us the right car is the reason we are now Subaru owners. I can firmly say that if we had worked with anyone but Gentry that we would not be driving a Subaru. I thought the whole sales process went very smooth. Gentry was easy to work with and i appreciated his style of selling (lower key, not high pressure to buy). I think as a general rule most of the VIP benefits of the different dealerships are close to par and relevant only if you plan to never move from the area, so it comes down to sales/service experience and pricing. Subaru packages options in an odd way (I think) and sometimes isn't super transparent to the customer or the dealerships with order status or ordering/model availability so I can't fault the dealerships or sales people for that, they just end up having to deal with the outcome there.

Gentry was amazing to work with. From the time I sent my initial internet request, throughout the entire purchase, and now even after purchase, Gentry was kind, professional, and extremely easy to work with. I can honestly say that I would NOT have purchased my new vehicle if not for the customer service skills of Gentry, because I was not in need of a car, and I wasn't getting the type of trade in value I was expecting. But Gentry was so willing to work with me, it made the decision easy.
